From Friday 25 th September until Wednesday 28 th October I will be exhibiting at The Kitchen Garden Café in Kings Heath, Birmingham . The exhibition is free to view and will showcase my Comedy Classics series of portraits. On show will be a number of original graphite works including; Only Fools and Horses, Steptoe and Son, Dad's Army, Little Britain, Tony Hancock and Del and Rodney Trotter. Fawlty Towers and Carry On will also be hung in a framed print format (the originals having been sold to a private collector). All works on show are for sale, along with limited edition prints and collectors greetings cards.

As part of the Comedy Festival I have also been asked to attend the Tony Hancock Appreciation day at the Old Joint Stock Theatre in Birmingham city centre on Saturday 3 rd October where prints and cards will be for sale.

Last years festival attracted over 35 fantastic shows and special events. This years is even bigger with over 50 acts including Michael McIntyre, Rob Brydon, Frank Carson, Neil Innes and Pam Ayres along with a strong local line-up headed by Jo Enright. More information on this years line-up can be obtained from event organiser Dave Freak at bhamcomfest@yahoo.co.uk

My comedy portraits have been showcased on numerous websites the most notable of which include: Whispers from Walmington, British Sitcom Guide, Cult TV, Carry On Forever, What a Carry On, Dad's Army TV, Dad's Army.co.uk and British Comedy Guide.

The Tony Hancock Appreciation Society gave me a whole page in their newsletter “The Missing Page” and a merchandising commission is a possibility for the future. I have also agreed a really exciting merchandising deal with the Dad's Army Museum in Thetford (watch this space..) The lottery funded museum is the only officially recognised museum paying tribute to the legendary show.

I have been awarded Artist in Residence at the Highbury Theatre in Sutton Coldfield for a year starting this week to coincide with the launch of their Autumn/Winter program. The aim of the residency is to help raise awareness of the venue and to contribute towards fund raising for a refurbishment. I will be donating a number of finished works taken from my observations of theatre life and will also be selling existing works, prints and cards with 20% of the proceeds going into the fund raising pot. For more information on the Highbury Theatre project please contact Steve Bowyer (Theatre Chairman) at

career
I create detailed real-to-life graphite rendered portraits to commission. I also have an expanding portfolio of themed limited edition prints.

I have over 15 years experience as an artist, completing many private commissions. Although partly self-taught I have an A Level in Art and am qualified to BTEC Higher National level in Graphic Design (passed with distinction). I was also named Matthew Boulton Colleges HNC Design Student of the Year 1997.

I work to private commission and am always sourcing new outlets for my prints. My client portfolio includes illustrations for the Cookson Precious Metals Group and a corporate logo for All Occasions Limosines. Work can be viewed at Duncan Mitchell Gallery. I have also forged a number of fan-site links.
